Rummy
DEAL A standard deck of 52 cards is used. 10 cards are dealt out to two players. The next card in the hand is flipped face-up into a discard pile. The remaining cards make up the stock. PLAY The object of the game is to meld all your cards into sets and sequences. A set is 3 or more cards of the same rank. A sequence is 3 or more cards of the same suit in sequence. Play begins with the non-dealer. The top card of the stock or the discard pile must be picked up. If you have a set or sequence you may meld the cards by removing them from your hand and placing them on the table. You also may extend any sets and sequences on the table with a card from your hand. After completing your melds you must make a discard. When a player removes all cards from their hand they win. If all cards are used in the stock the discard pile is flipped over and reused as the stock leaving only the top card in the discard pile. SCORING The player who goes out collects points from the loser for every card remaining in their hand. The King, Queen and Jack count for 10 points, the Ace counts for 1 point and all other cards count their numeric value. If a player makes all melds and goes out in one turn they 'Go Rummy' and receive double the points. The first player to reach 200 points wins.
